Shopping for deals and different models of 2-3 months. Did a lot of research on the characteristics and performance, and was overwhelmed by how man of these netbooks have exactly the same as all other inmates. I finally went with the HP Mini 210-1055NR because it has the full glass on the entire screen and the framework that makes it look much better than the 110 or similar ravines. This only creates a more aesthetically pleasing look to the whole netbook. He also had a slightly better specs than all other clones that were priced in the budget for the web (ACERS, Dells, HP 110s) and with the extra RAM that I bought for her, and the easy access panel that allows you to eliminate all the bottom cover of the netbook, the update was easy and performance is great! />
I recommend it to anyone looking at getting a netbook, whether for easy writing or surfing. I have not played with linux instant HPs software that comes pre-installed, but Windows 7 boot that works well, despite already heard bad things about its limitations, I feel happy and I chose the serious outdated XP.

One thing that is crucial to do is to remove as much of the HP bloatware installed by default on their new systems. You will see a significant increase in performance and less hard disk space occupied by clearing off all test kits and software that come with the new HP.

But I needed something that could really be considered portable (unlike my beloved laptop that I love, but it is too bulky for me to throw in a bag and run). Anyhoo, after looking at some stores and online and read comments from people of various products like here, I decided on this. And Yay! That’s all I wanted. I can not vouch for their ability to handle more complicated applications, but for me only to access email when I’m away from home (because I have sausage fingers, and do not think I can manage the use of iPhone), and browse around few web sites, has been wonderful. The battery life is always more than enough. The installation was easy and use is easy. Easy for me = win.

I have the shirt he offerd to go with it, and a small “Kensington” wireless mouse (though the touch pad on this unit is easier to use than others I’ve tried, which is not always you need the mouse).

I’ve got for Mother’s Day and I must say that everything should be. I have a computer whiz in the family, which adds a personal screen saver software, and also in Windows 7 version. I have enough space for all your music, movies and photos. I take it almost anywhere. Internet access with my iPhone connected. The touchpad is a bit ‘to get (the whole course of the mouse pad), but once you get the hang of it, and tweeked a few, is great. Screen is clear that the computer is ready and plenty of battery life is good, though not as long as some other netbooks with 6 batteries. Now the battery. And ‘certainly great, but I found it to be a problem. In fact, it helps to give something to grab when I start at home and is writing a good angle. If you ever find a minor, can I get one and use more travel, but not a big deal for me. I am not yet increase memory. I’m thinking Windows 7 awards in the future, but I’m glad this model. I bought a wireless mouse and Bluetooth dongle, so there will be an opportunity for very little additional cost. The red is beautiful, matte finish and not too bright. I think I have this neat little netbook.

Very Pleased with Amazon service

I originally ordered a Samsung netbook. I had mega problems with its backup system. After 5 contacts with their (Samsung)customer service, I had enough. Because the software was not working properly pretty much right out of the box, Amazon took the return and paid for shipping both ways. No problem. 

After more investigation, I ordered the hp 210. I have not had any problems with it. Also, I find the keyboard far superior without the frequent dropped keys. 

I am very happy with the hp, and I am very happyhow Amazon treated me.

Pretty good

I purchased the HP mini because I am on the go all of the time, so I needed something light and portable. 
Overall this Mini performs pretty well, I had to upgrade the memory because the 1g was insufficient. 
I like the extended battery life but do not really like how far the battery pack sticks out. 
The netbook came loaded with a bunch of unnecessary junk software that I had to remove to improve the performance. 
I tried to run HP QuickSync but when I loaded it on my other computer it told me that I have already used my allocated number and needed to purchase more licenses. I still haven’t resolved this with HP. 
Overall the Mini works well, although I am not sure whether the small computer is worth the sacrifice for portability.

It’s great!

I have been very pleased with this Netbook. I shopped around a little and considering the cost and capability of the machine I am very happy with my purchase. It is lightweight, easy to use, and has a great battery life. I haven’t had a time yet that I couldn’t use it for everything I needed to in a day without having to plug it in and charge it, which may only be a few hours, but I don’t turn it off in-between, I just close the netbook and it draws very little power. It’s functionality is wonderful. The two finger scrolling is very handy as well. 

The only drawbacks that I have is that there are some software applications that really don’t fit the screen (you can’t use them in some of the ways you normally would, just because of the size of the screen), and because of the increased battery life the battery does stick out of the back of the computer a little, which is annoying at times. However, the size of the screen is what you should expect when purchasing a netbook, and the battery life is such a plus that I actually expected the battery to stick out the back. As far as carrying this one around college, I believe it is the perfect size.

My new favorite computer

I had a Radio Shack Modle 100 for several years and carried it with me everywhere. It was a great for basic word processing, check book balancing and scheduling. For my purposes laptops only went downhill after that. They were too klunky, heavy and expensive. 

I did a lot of research before purchasing the HP mini. One of the factors that influenced my decision is that HP has redeemed itself as a computer company. Compared to other netbooks I tried the HP felt solid and well built. I saw a couple of reviews that criticized the HP’s large battery compartment. For me that has not been a problem, and I love the battery’s long life. Even though my vision is on the poor side, the 10 inch screen is very readable. I just move the screen closer and don’t even notice the size. 

Like the old Modle 100, I can carry the HP mini 210 everywhere I go. Having a laptop is fun again.

Excellent Netbook

I was a little reluctant to buy a netbook…thinking that the keyboard and screen would be small and 
difficult to see and operate. This is definitely not the case. I adjusted quickly to a slightly smaller 
keyboard and the display’s resolution is vivid and bright. I am a real estate appraiser and use the netbook 
in the field to access real estate data and to connect to my office or home computer with “log me in free”. 
Works great on both counts. Battery life is as advertised and between this and my smart phone I have never felt 
so “connected”.

I can’t vouch for how well it manages more complicated aplications but for me to just acess email when I’m away from home (because I have sausage fingers, and don’t think I could manage IPhone use), and surf a few sites on the web, it’s been great. The battery life is always more than enough. The set up was easy and use is easy. Easy for me = Win. 

I got the sleeve they offerd her to go with it, and a small “Kensignton” wireless mouse (though the touch pad on this unit is easier to use than others I have tried, so I don’t always need the mouse). 

The unit arrived in a timely manner and was well protected in its pakaging.

Great machine for right purposes.

This machine was purchased to be a 2nd machine in our home, and our traveling companion. The built in webcam and mike are perfect for Skype video communications with friends across the country. The built in wireles antennae and software integated easily into our home wireless network. The HP sync program is an nice asset for syncronizing files and pictures between your main PC and this machine. It is a great machine for e-mail and traveling. We can perform all functions that are important to us on the road. It was easy to set up and get running. It has an abundant amount of disk space. I can see upgrading the temporary copy of MS Office and Norton Protection to permanence in our future. Why red? The color expert likes it!
