Inertial sensors including accelerometers (or accelerometer sensor of dollars) and the angular rate sensor (gyroscope) and their single, double, three-axis combined IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), AHRS (including magnetic sensor attitude reference system).

Is the use of MEMS accelerometer inertial sensing the quality of force measurement sensor, the general standard of quality from the block (sensor element) and the detection circuit. According to the different sensing principle, mainly piezoresistive, capacitive, piezoelectric type, the tunnel current-type, resonance type, thermal and electromagnetic coupling type and so on.

In 1998, the United States CSDL design and development of the first MEMS gyroscope. In the same year, Drapor lab developed another form of MEMS gyroscope.

MEMS gyroscope is the use of vibration-mass has been the base (shell) driven rotation of the Coriolis effect to the principle of the angular velocity sensor is made.

Mainly in the form of framework-driven (inside and outside the framework of the two kinds) comb-drive type, electromagnetic-driven and so on.

IMU because it is combination of MEMS technology, micro-inertial measurement unit, so many places called MIMU. Mainly by the three MEMS accelerometers and three gyro and the solver circuit.

AHRS consists of three magnetic sensors, compared with the IMU, and based on four elements in France to understand calculation, can output directly to a sports body pitch angle, roll angle and heading angle.

Low-precision MEMS inertial sensors, as consumer electronics products are mainly used in mobile phones, game consoles, music players, wireless mouse, digital cameras, PD, hard disk protector, smart toys, pedometer, anti-theft system, GPS navigation, portable. Because of acceleration measurement, tilt measurement, vibration measurement and even rotational measurements and other basic measurements, to be excavated consumer electronics applications will continue to emerge.

Intermediate grade MEMS inertial sensors for industrial and automotive grade products, are mainly used in automotive electronic stability systems (ESP or ESC) GPS-assisted navigation systems, automobile airbags, vehicle attitude measurement, precision agriculture, industrial automation, large-scale medical equipment, robotics , instruments | instruments and meters, construction machinery and so on.

High-precision MEMS inertial sensors as a military-grade and aerospace level products, the main demand high precision, the whole temperature range, shock and other indices. Mainly used in wireless communications satellite, missile seeker, optical targeting systems, stability of the applications; aircraft / missile flight control, attitude control, yaw damping control applications, as well as medium-range missile guidance, inertial-guided GPS navigation applications, remote aircraft ship equipment, battlefield robots.

For consumer electronics of MEMS inertial sensors, the main requirement is that the low price, small size, narrow temperature range, so accuracy is low, or even functional products. Acceleration sensors, light weight, power consumption is small, generally measuring range 1 ~ 10g ~ 50g, Resolution 2mg ~ 10mg, top general in the range ± 300 ° / s, zero-bias in the 500 ° / h ~ 1000 ° / h, so some companies products do not give a zero bias indicators or to give 0.1 ° / s ~ 0.5 ° / s.

MEMS accelerometer can be produced at present the companies are more, most of the semiconductor, such as the United States, ADI, Invensense, ST, Freescale, Sensor Dynamics, MSI (ICSensor), MEMSIC (producer in Wuxi, China) Europe, VTI, Infine, production MEMS gyroscope’s the United States, ADI, Knoix, ST, Europe, Infine, Methes, Japan, Murata, National, Oki, Fujitsu. December 3 Di Semiconductor Co., Ltd. Shenzhen, Shanghai, China issued a consumer-grade MEMS gyro, a company in Wuxi is also in development.

If you concerned about laptop bags that not be large enough and you tried some other brands at a local store and they were tight, then this Targus 10.2-Inch Slipskin Peel Netbook Case maybe perfectly for you because its a loose fit, zips easily even with “cooler pad” included, and it protects your low profile wireless mouse interface. It lightweight, form-fitting neoprene skin that shields your 10.2-Inch netbook from scratches and dust. The case can be used alone or inside of another case for added protection. Perfectly for businessman or school boy or even college students, the sleek design and smooth interior of the slipskin provides a complete cover to your netbook. It is very stretchy and could accommodate the charger and the mouse, but it would be a very lumpy, untidy package.
A must have if you own a netbook and carry it around with you. This is a perfect case for the 10.2 inch netbook. It is not a tight fit, but a comfortable fit. These cases are made to protect netbooks from scratches and this one is waterproof as well. The zipper flows nicely and it is light as a feather.
If you plan on putting the adapter in it and there really isn’t much room for it, but you could if you wanted too. It comes with a lifetime warranty and you have a choice of colors, from black to pink and some nice one depends on your taste. There is no handle which will suits you because you can carry it in my backpack or pocketbook.
If you own a Toshiba NB205 and was on the hunt for a modest neoprene sleeve to sheath your fancy new netbook. One quirk of the NB205 is the protruding battery pack on the back - while it keeps this fantastic machine running for 9 hours per charge, it also poses a challenge when looking for a snug-fitting sleeve.Perfectly match for Lenovo S10,Toshiba N200 onwards, and Asus Eee 1000HE with 10.2 wide-screen.

my mouse cursor dissapears, and when i move it it re apears untill i stop moving it, and when it appears it has bug’s, but when i go back to windows it is fine, but when i play gta san andreas without multiplayer it shows the cursor just fine,
how do i fix this issue? ive been looking in google for ages and found nothing.
my mouse is: ” Silverline 2.4Ghz Wireless Laser Mouse” that has a USB stick in my Laptop’s USB 2.0 Port.
i think that if i will try with a wired USB mouse it will be just fine, but if it dont….
i just want to know if it is a problem caused by my mouse or a problem in my cursor files.
thanks for the helpers…,

Lenovo have a commercial use on the recommendation of my friend and business partner, who is a specialist and a teenage daughter. I am pleased overall - I have done through Amazon and arrive on time (payment on the SVC following day.) Is in good condition. Configure a computer user is easy. The computer has minimal bloatware (pre-installed software, the third part, which usually do not want or need), is easily removed - something that Dell and HP will probably not be able to manage. Bluetooth software is bloatware more evil than good, but after I open the wireless internet worked perfectly. Do not want to deal with the recognition in the program log. The ugly topic of Windows 7 may be willing to look older versions are used. My only complaint Win7 is true that the writings are not “one level” or a “step back” button like XP was. Install a third-party software, the choice is very simple. Shipped with a free year of McAfee, I think I can continue, if you want the first virus - Kaspersky application, thank you very much - and so clean that junk. I also cleaned free trial version of 2007, so you can install Open Office.

Despite all, not bad. Easy to use for noobs, easy to use for professionals. April 5

BuyingLenovo G560 06793JU 15.6-Inch Laptop (Grey/Black)

ALMOST amazing

After much debate I decided on purchasing a Lenovo G560. Spec wise, an i5 processor, 4gb ram, led screen, sleek design, and lenovo quality made it seem like a great bargain. Off the bat I had to agree. The fit and finish are top notch. I was not bothered by the smuding of the outside because when the screen is open you can’t see it! When you are working on the PC, it feels like a desktop, the space is utilized very well. The appearance is minimalistic and sleek. IMO if it had chiclet style keys it would be even a more beautiful interior setup than apple. The keyboard is nice to type on. The shift button is a bit small but this didn’t really result in any functional problems. In addition, the number pad is a bit cramped, especially if you have big fingers. I did not have that much trouble with the track pad as others. It has a nice textured feel and supports multitouch. The integrated buttons although appear nice, are a bit cumbersome because it seems like the whole pad clicks, but you must press in the designated area for it to work. I use a great wireless mouse so this is not an issue. The screen is absolutely gorgeous. The only screen that looks better is the high resolution optional screen on the apples. Windows 7 works very fast on this computer with super fast start up and shutdown. Windows 7 in general is pretty sweet and IMO if you are used to windows, provides much of the “it just works” features of a mac with the familiarity of a PC. So at this point, I LOVE the computer. Heres the downfall, I am listening to music and it sounds just beautiful. I notice my battery is starting to fade so I plug it into the wall. Buzz buzz buzz, there is static from my headphones! Remove the plug, no buzz, put it back, buzz. I’ve read about this happening on other computers and everyone says oh just get a hum reducing this or that but when i’m spenind 0, I don’t want to buy adapters to reduce humming! Although with loud music this isn’t and issue, I do my work with soft instrumental music and in lulls and in between songs I can hear it and it drives me crazy. In addition, it is supposed to have fan management to reduce heat and fan noise. This feature seems to work well most of the time, but sometimes, it goes into this mode where it will turn on for 30 seconds, then off for a minute, and repeat for several minutes and is somewhat annoying. Again, it was only noticable because I was in a very quiet setting. Overall, this computer is neaaaarly amazing, but it has some issues, that for me, are just too significant to continue dealing with. Verdict: will return the computer, hope lenovo addresses these issues and will either buy another lenovo, or go back on the hunt.

Great laptop - except for pre-installed software

I live in Costa Rica and ordered a Lenovo computer after several good recommendations from friends. I am a programmer and my main concern was CPU speed and amount of RAM memory. This computer works smooth after uninstalling all the bundled software that comes with it, including the face recognition software. The trackpad is very good, I personally like it, but I guess it is a matter of taste.

Pros
* very fast computer
* incredibly fast startup and shutdown
* good for CPU intensive apps and full screen videos
* very elegant design
* keyboard of very high quality
* glossy screen looks beautiful, with bright colors
* very thin and light for its size and price

Cons
* exaggerated amount of pre-installed software (reason why I give it a 4-star rating and not 5). After uninstalling, I recommend making backup DVDs…

It is a pity that Lenovo installs that amount of software in a computer. It should be an option, at the first time of use. Otherwise, a great computer. Highly recommend it if you don’t mind spending at least 1 hour uninstalling all the crap… For my part, for 9 (bought at Amazon on Marco 2010), I like this computer very much…

It was working fine last night but not this morning.

It’s a V200 Logitech cordless mouse so all I have to do is connect something to the USB port and it starts working from there.

After putting it in..something pops up in the taskbar saying, “found new hardware” then “V200 Logitech Mouse” then “new hardware is installed and ready to use”

Even though that is said, the mouse is still not working. Already changed the batteries, already pressed reset on the bottom of the mouse.

Disgusted

This the second unit I have purchased and both did not work. The tech support at Acer could not solve the problem. Will no longer attempt a purchase of an Acer product.

Too small screen

I purchased this as a web surfing computer that is small and light. After receiving it and giving it a try for a week, my wife and I both got headaches from squinting trying to focus on the screen. It was just too small for us to use comfortably. The computer worked great and seemed to be plenty fast and have plenty of memory to have multiple web pages open at once including heavy Flash games. The computer was made of good materials and seemed to be of good quality. Keep in mind that if you get any of these netbooks with extended battery life beyond 3 hours and are more than 3 cells, the battery will stick out the back about an inch. In the end we returned it and are purchasing a 13 in ultraportable for a little but more money. I suggest really trying one of these out before making a purchase to see if it is going to be right for you.

Keeps getting better

I had a Acer 150 and liked the new features of the 250. I was not disappointed.

Acer AOD250 -1955 Netbook with 9 hour battery

This netbook and its battery life are just as advertised if you are just surfing the net. Adding an external disk drive halves that. You need to let the battery charge up first, then completely discharge down to nothing then recharge it to get the full 9 hours out of it.

The netbook is light enough to use - the keyboard takes a bit to get used to. Man the screen is small! Hitting the shift key doesn’t always work LOL.

Runs better with 2 GB memory installed. I got it with Windows XP installed to save money so I could buy the extra memory and external drive.

I take this to doctor’s offices while I’m waiting and love how light and portable it is.

The only negative things I can say for it is that the SPEAKERS suck and are chintzy. I could barely hear any music playing. I had to connect external battery powered speakers for portability to get a good sound. Also, a negative thing is that the 3 USB ports get used up quickly by a wireless mouse and an optical drive that is external that takes up 2 ports but that is easily solved by connecting a 4 port external USB 2.0 hub to it that is portable.

I use this in my bedroom most of the time for chatting, checking email and doing online banking and then for traveling or waiting in doctor’s offices. It works great with a wireless broadband USB modem for those purposes.

I have a dog at home and the netbook attracts dog hairs like crazy to it for some oddball reason.

The webcam takes pretty good pics - even in low light but is a cheezy looking pic.

I was pleased with the overall performance and for 0 is a nice purchase.

Dell Inspiron IM1012-687CRD Mini 1012 10.1-Inch Cherry Red Netbook - Up To 8 Hours 8 Minutes Of Battery Life

Had for 1 year and it’s still kickin’

I’ve had my Inspiron mini for about a year and I still love it. It fits in my purse (along with my kindle) and it weighs next to nothing. I’ve taken it to conferences and on vacation. I have a portable DVD/CD burner to install programs and burn discs. I have another regular laptop and 5 other pcs but this is the only one I’ve ever bragged about and showed to strangers. I type about 65wpm and love the keyboard. (I have big hands for a woman.) This is not my fastest computer by any means and I have the XP version but this little guy has made me happy. Also, on several nights I’ve fallen asleep with it and can’t tell you how many times I’ve literally kicked it out of bed not to mention all the times I’ve dropped it and it seems invincible. I’m using it now while I’m lounged back in my recliner watching big screen TV. I can hardly tell it’s on my lap at all except for some warmth. (I’ll probably end up sleeping with it tonight.)

The only thing I might change is getting another one with a faster processor. I can’t justify doing that right now because I’m just too pleased with this tough, easy to use little puter.

Mini-Laptop

Overall, very satisfied.
Batteries last a long time.
Venting is on the underside, which makes me wonder about placing the lap top computer in my lap!!
Not real happy with the touch pad, but do not know whether any worse than other computers.
The most unsatisfactory feature is the screen; no mater what one does, there is always a LOT of reflection.

A wireless mouse is an absolute necesity.

good computer, echy touchpad

I agree with the reviewer who complained about the touchpad. It’s the one thing I dislike about this computer. It’s a great piece of hardware for the money. It’s small and light (obviously); the keyboard is very nice (even for a guy who’s 6′2″ with moderately large hands); the small screen is quite workable (and I’m a heavy user of both of the large screens on my office desktop); it’s thoughtfully laid out (eg USB ports on both sides).
I bought it to travel with, take notes with at meetings, do email, run itunes, maybe a little skyping (it has a built in camera) - that kind of thing, and it seems like it will do all those well. Would not want to have sit in front of it for 8 hours, but that’s not what it was designed for. If the ipad with 3G was out, I might have bought that instead. My only reservation is the touchpad. Hopefully, there’s a trick to it and I’ll adjust.

Great Little Netbook!!

I just got the Dell Mini 1012 Netbook… and choose this over ASUS 1005, HP 210 and Samsung mainly because of three reasons:

One, its feels solid…feel more like a laptop.. not any cheap old plastic netbook,
Second, the keyboard rocks, simply amazing to type… its not a chiclet keyboard but feels like a real-keyboard. I am typing a little over 80 WPM on it (thats what I get on my regular laptop).. :)
Finally, the screen is amazing, very clear and bright, better than ASUS or HP or MSI .. go to a store like BestBuy and see them in action and compare. YouTube picture quality has been amazing.

I have used the Atom N270 Netbook before, but the Atom N450 is cool.. I can run Powerpoint, Word Doc and Internet Explorer at the same time… and switching between the Apps without any delay.. almost like a regular notebook — with N270 it literally used to hang Also, I am getting more than 8 hours of battery life with thoese Applications, which is cool.

Where To BuyDell Inspiron IM1012-687CRD Mini 1012 10.1-Inch Cherry Red Netbook - Up To 8 Hours 8 Minutes Of Battery Life

This is a good one, but they call it a netbook and not a notebook, for a reason

Why 4 stars versus 5? The difference between ‘I like it’ and ‘I love it’. I do like it! I like netbooks for web surfing and emailing, video chat via Skype and little else. Ideally the mini would have a DVD drive, more storage space, a better webcam and THEN I’d love it, but then it would probably be a notebook.

I purchased this item for my 12 year old daughter to access the internet to play online games (Disney’s Club Penguin and Neopets), do basic research for reports and access her email. I wanted something that was ultra-portable, the right size for her small hands, possessing a brilliant display and a good battery life. I went to Dell first because I trust the brand. The Dell Inspiron Mini… did not disappoint.

What I like about it…

1. Great battery life with the 6-cell battery. Averages about 6 hours of solid use with the 6-cell. It does add to the thickness of the back of the unit, but it still fits easily into the case I purchased for it. Targus CityGear Netbook Case for up to 10.2 Inch Netbooks- Black and Grey TSM097US
2. The display is bright and clear.
3. The keyboard, while smaller than the full-sized one, is adequate and responsive.
4. The wireless connection is quick despite not being ‘n-network’ capable.
5. Trend Internet Security USB installed easily and uses very few resources, not bogging down the netbook.

What I wish was better…

1. Less heat! The bottom of the unit gets quite hot. I have to say this worries me. Longevity may be an issue.
2. The finish on the netbook is shiny. I wish it was more fingerprint resistant. I love the glossy black finish, but it does show every smudge.

What I’d love to see in the next generation of netbooks…

DVD drive, n-network ready and HDMI capabilities…with the same price point, battery life and mobility. Yes, I’m really talking about an ideal ‘notebook’ now, but can you blame me? I love the idea of a full-service mini notebook, and I’m sure we’re headed in that direction with the Dell Inspiron Minis.

Mine came with Windows XP, not Windows 7, but I’ve used both and they seem equally zippy to me when accessing the Net. I am pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone who would wants portability, speed and quality to access the internet, at a low price point.

I would not recommend purchasing this product if you have large hands, want to watch movies on your laptop (this could be done by purchasing this item: Samsung USB 2.0 8x DVD Writer External Optical Drive for Mac and PC SE-S084C/RSBN (Gloss Black), or wish to do video or photo editing; requiring more computing power - even with a proper amount of storage provided by a Patriot Memory Extreme Performance Xporter Magnum - USB flash drive - 64 GB - 210x - Hi-Speed USB or a Western Digital My Passport Essential SE 1 TB USB 2.0 Portable External Hard Drive WDBABM0010BBK-NESN (Midnight Black).

However, if you know that you want a ‘netbook’ and not a ‘notebook’… and understand its limitations…the Dell Inspiron Mini is a good choice!
